Fragments
Fragments is a powerful collection of poetry, a short story, and a speech written by combat veteran ML Wissing—each piece inspired by her time serving in Iraq during the War on Terrorism.
Through raw and evocative storytelling, the book takes readers on a journey from enlistment to life on the battlefield, the struggles of PTSD, and the challenges of reintegration after service.
Since its release on September 11, 2015, Fragments has been embraced by veteran support programs, offering a sense of solidarity and inspiring warriors to seek the help they deserve.
For its 10th anniversary, this special edition features new poems, an edited version of the original short story, and a Veterans’ Day parade speech by ML Wissing— alongside updated resources for veterans and their families.
With this milestone release, ML Wissing hopes to reach a wider audience, helping veterans find the support they need and offering civilians a deeper understanding of those who have sacrificed so much in service to their country.
